I enjoy devouring books that discuss business, self-improvement, productivity, leadership and of course, marketing topics. They help motivate me, generate Ideas and guide me.

I’ve always taken notes whilst reading a good book – whether in the margin with a pencil or in the notes section on the iPhones books app. I then tend to reference the most noteworthy points and come back to them time and time again. It saves me reading them over and over (although there are still a few books I will pick up repeatedly – Do Open: David Hieatt anyone?).

I love the idea of a digested version of a book, to access the information quicker. Hacking the day, to squeeze every valuable minute I can.

The other day, I discovered the Blinkist App that takes some of the most popular and well-known business books and condenses them into ‘Blinks’ (2-minute segments) – so you can extract the flavour and key takeaways within 15 minutes per book.

I’ve just finished my 7-day free trial, and I can thoroughly recommend it.

If you’re looking for ways to hack your day – and want to learn some of the key points from those key books you know you probably already should have read – check out the Blinkist App.

Have you got any other ways you’re hacking your day? I’d love to hear! Feel free to drop a note in the comments below.
